HOW TO VOLUNTEER AS A REFEREE
"The task of the Referee is to assure the maximum enjoyment of everyone present at the game."
- Ken Aston (1915 – 2001)
Without referees, there would be no game. Referees enforce the laws of the game. At 7U, 8U and 10U, they also instruct about those laws. Referees at each division help assure that sportsmanship counts as much as the score. Every game is ideally worked by 3 referees and each referee typically refs 10 games per season. That means we need as many referees as coaches and assistant coaches, if not more. Register to be a referee after you register your children. You'll learn more about soccer than you thought there was to know and have a blast while you do it! Learn more here.
