honors
AVERY LYFORD
For Dedication, Commitment, Extraordinary Service & Outstanding Accomplishment
AYSO of Belmont/Redwood Shores is proud to recognize the extensive contributions of Avery Lyford as Volunteer of the Year for the continued success of our program in Region 108. Avery is a longtime AYSO participant and volunteer with two sons in the program, past and present. Avery is most recognized for his role as the Regional Referee Administrator from 2016-2019, where each year he successfully orchestrated the recruitment, training and promotion of referees needed for all the games in our region.
He also fills multiple high-level volunteer roles serving the wider area 2N encompassing neighboring cities from Half Moon Bay to Burlingame and south through Menlo Park. Avery is an active AYSO board member who makes year-round contributions ensuring our Fall soccer season is successful.
Avery is an active referee for the most challenging AYSO matches through semi-professional men’s games. He maintains an extensive network of contacts who willingly volunteer their time to our region, which was built with years of professionalism, honesty and goodwill.
For all these reasons, congratulations to Avery Lyford for winning the 2021 Volunteer of the Year Award!
Thank you, Avery, for years of exceptional service to our community!
